imo is seeking an experienced electrical or mechanical engineer to join the team and manage imo plant and equipment across existing and planned sites in VIC and SA

Key responsibilities:

·         Responsible for maintaining the equipment in as-new condition and working order, seeking to continuously improve wash quality and innovate the engineering programme for sites.

·         Service and Maintenance

o        Ensure the conveyors are available a minimum of 99.5% of the time the business is open

o        Ensure that Operators are trained to manage the majority of simple maintenance activity and break-down, but understand their boundaries.

o        Provide second-level phone support to Operators and build a trusted relationship

o        Complete PPM work on a timely basis.

o        Refurbishment of replaced parts as required  

o        Maintain an accurate work-in-progress sheet for open issues and resolve on a timely basis, managing expectations of operators, co-ordinating with and training third party contractors, suppliers and service providers as required.

·         New Site Installations

o        Unpacking, documenting, reconciling equipment supplied for new imo site installations

o        Commissioning of new site installations

·         Reporting and Documentation

o        Accurate and timely completion of site service reports, downtime reports
PPM activity, stock reports, timesheets for job allocation

o        Supporting the Support Manager in updating engineering manuals as necessary.

·         Undertaking such other duties as maybe assigned to by the Regional Manager from time to time.

 The successful applicant will have several years experience working with similar plant and equipment, have a can-do attitude and an enthusiasm for the role and industry.
